November Flew By!

I can't believe December starts next week! Wow where has the time gone?! ;)

So November has flown by. My weight loss has progressed very very very well. I am down 18.2 pounds as of today and still going! My goal was to be 20 pounds down by the time we leave for Florida and I only have 2 more to go! :-) So exciting!! :)

Thanksgiving we spent in Gastonia at my aunt's house with our family. Grandpa looked good and was alive and well kicking! Both of my grandparents could tell I had lost weight and was shocked to hear how much! :) My uncle's mom, my grandma Lay, joined us also. 91 years old and doing wonderfully! :) KoKo was just as wacky and nutty when I am there visiting. I took him for a walk and we had to stop 100001 times for him. HAH! He got so mad when I didn't take him the 2nd time and was howling and whining at the door while I was gone. Dinner was fabulous and I watched my intake, but enjoyed every piece of food that there was! :)

So oddly enough I got more of my Wicked mail back this month. Still got a list of some out, but this weekend's ones have a funny story. I got a letter back from Jackie Burns (Wicked First Tour) and I saw the envelope and it was stamped from New York and I was like oh its gotta be from one of the 3 I am waiting for that aren't with the show anymore. I looked and thought of who it was, but looked inside and found the pictures I sent to be signed weren't there. Wasn't until I opened it that I saw it was from Jackie! hahaha Oh yeah, I forgot what I said exactly about me working on my picture taking; but she said it would be bad if she had to fire me a 2nd time. Just wait till I see her in Wicked or another show, I want to mess up big time just to throw her off! ;) Then the 2nd one, I was aware it could be coming, but wasn't sure, but my friend informed me she got her's this week so I was like ok mine was in that same envelope! ;) It took me all day to read the durn letter too, for whatever reason. But I opened it; it came from Libby Servais (Wicked San Francisco/2nd Tour); and I started giggling cause the paper clip I used to attach my letter to the SASE came back! This has happened once before, but I giggled at it happening again. ;) She's such a sweetie, I got her u/s slip from San Francisco too signed! Ah! That was a surprise for me! :) So all of this stuff got put into my ever epanding scrapbook! Wow it keeps growing and growing! :)

So that's it. December I hope flies by and the next thing I know it will be time to go to Florida! Oh yeah, cannot wait!!! :)

October :)

< Gotta love finding that in your backyard! ;)

October has flown by!!! Seriously I was just in Charlotte again for another musical and now Halloween is this coming week. :-O And plus I never update this blog it seems like. HAH!

So backing up to early October; Kate and I made the track over to Charlotte to see 9 to 5 the musical. :) Before this I had never seen the movie or really heard anything about the musical; and really enjoyed it. Diana Degarmo is AMAZING as Doralee in this show! She sounds alot like Dolly Parton in parts. Incase you don't know who she is, she was an American Idol runner-up to Fantasia back in 2004. :) She is also one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, I was so happy I got to meet her after the show. :) And she confirmed what everyone thinks about Simon Cowell, that he is a jerk! ;) The show also stars Mamie Parris as Judy, who is tiny looking onstage, but her vocally is mighty! She really belted it out in the song "Get Out and Stay Out." She was also very sweet, none of us knew who she played, except for one guy and so luckily she stopped! ;) She said no one ever knows her off stage. ;) Dee Hoty plays Violet and she she also is amazing in the show and like the other 2 very nice. Her family/friends were at the show, but she still took time out at the door, which was wonderful. :)

I cat sat for Kate's neighbor's while they were out of town. The cat is diabetic and has to have insulin shots twice a day. He was very easy to take care of, greeted me at the door each time I came over to take care of him. He was no problems, he ate his meals up and I gave him his shot and it was all good. :)

I got my hair chopped off last week also! It feels great to have my hair cut short again though. :) I like this hairdresser that Kate found and probably will start going to her to get my hair cut. :) I also got my first massage in over a year this week. Ah!!! Heavenly!!! It felt wonderful to get that and I wish I could get one every day! ;) hahaha

Well that is all, minus having some allergy/sick bug for the past week, all has been good. Getting more excited about going to Florida in December and even more so being down 6.5 almost 7 pounds! :)

Bullying....It has to end

I remember last year hearing my niece was being bullied by some kids at school about who her parents voted for and also her beliefs. I was miffed by it and couldn't believe kids are still as cruel as ever today for one little thing wrong. But now kids are taking it to extreme...

3 teenagers who were openly gay have commited suicide recently because of the tormenting. Its so sad to think that it was that bad they chose to end their life and you can only imagine how bad it was for them to choose suicide. Another bullying story was about a boy in Ohio cheerleading and bully's at school broke his arm over his choice! Hats off to the mother for pressing charges against those who broke this little boy's arm.

In 4th grade; I rode a bus with a girl and also was in the same class with her also, who bullied and teased me the entire year. It was over my front teeth being crooked and my hair color. Two things I couldn't control and daily I remember her asking me when I was getting braces. Oddly enough, that year was when I first went to an orthodontist and didn't get braces until 2 years later. But I have never forgotten what she did and never have forgiven her either, doubt I ever will.

I am thankful for how my parents raised me and never judging some one for the color of their skin, their beliefs, their sexuality...etc. I am not saying its the parents fault that their kids bully, but something isn't right. Bullying played a part in Dylan Klebold and Eric Haris going on a shooting spree that left 13 people dead.

It needs to stop before another family suffers a tragedy....period amen.

Florida here we come!!!

< Celebrating Christmas with those guys!

So yesterday's blog post about me rambling and being mad about having to choose what I wanted to do and then sleeping on Discovery Cove and blah blah blah....you get the picture!

So basically its a 2 day drive down there; well 6.5 hours from here to Jacksonville, NC and then we are going to stay the night and then head toward Orlando the following night.

Day #1: Kennedy Space Center- How can you go to Florida and not go to the space center? Its educational and I enjoy going there. :) Gaia has never been there and from the website, it looks like they have new attractions to see.

Day #2: Animal Kingdom- My niece loves going to the zoo and so why not go here? I want to see this place too. :) Its got rides there and many things to go see. My brother gets in this night also.

Day #3: Univeral: Islands of Adventure- HARRY POTTER!!!!!! Two words!!!! I was in Orlando the year this Universal was being opened and it wasn't open at the time I was there, I can't wait to go!

Day #4: Discovery Cove & Sea World- Swimming with the dolphins. :) I am not sure how enjoyable this will be for me and my brother; but my niece will love it! Sea World; eh I can live without going; but haven't been to the one in Florida since I was a kid. :)

Day #5: Disneyworld- Mickey, Minnie here we come!!! Gaia has seen Disneyland and now its time to tackle Disneyworld!!! :) 9 years old seems to be the right age to take her there.

Day #6: WHATEVER I WANT TO DO!- Jeremy and Gaia go home this day; which is Christmas day; so its whatever I would like to do. Probably will hit the other Universal park or go back to Disney. Who knows. But we are also going down the coast before heading back to North Carolina.

So there it is! Gaia is coming the 18th; yippee for having to sit in a car for DAYS with her! ;) I love my niece, yes I do, but you get what I mean! ;) hahaha

Here's a ramble riddle for you!

So planning Christmas trip has become a headache!

Why is that?! I want to do stuff, my brother wants to do stuff and take my niece to places; but some of the crap I don't want to do, but I am trying to be a team player and do what everyone wants to do! Right?! Well now my mother is like you don't have to do everything they do, you can do whatever you want also. Ok that doesn't help the guilt part of that comment! :-/

I wanna see the Harry Potter part of Universal and I want to go to Animal Kingdom, two parks I have never been to. Well my brother wants to go to Sea World and Discovery Cove. Well the last time I went to Sea World was when it was in Aurora, OH and that was ancient times ago! Discovery Cove really looks interesting, but its not cheap also! Plus my brother wants to swim or do something with sharks; IS HE NUTS?! I don't think its swim, lol. Gawd people be nuts to sign a paper to go swim with them! =p Also going to Disney World is must for my niece. We took her to Disneyland when she was 3 and it was mine, her's and her momma's first time ever to that park and this time it will be her first time and my who knows what time! I know she likes Harry Potter, but UGH why ask me what exactly I want to do? SURPRISE ME AT THIS RATE!

Rant over, anyone want to tell me which of these suggestions are the best places to go to???

Where has August gone???

< My latest project. :D

I never seem to sit down and write a blog entry anymore. I read other people's more than do my own. LOL

Backing up a bit, Gaia's visit was wonderful as usual. We spent the majority of her visit down at Myrtle Beach and then we spent a day, a very hot day, at Carowinds in Charlotte. Gaia had a blast at Carowinds, and I am not too sure she's a daredevil anymore. She was so hesitant about roller coasters and she was never like that. But oh well, I took her on her first upside roller coaster and she liked it but didn't like going backwards. LOL

So Ohio was wonderful as usual, my only complaint is my aunt's heavy smoking! I love her dog to death, though. Don't miss the 7:30am wake-up calls and her scratching at my door until I opened it. ;) She is so full of energy, I have a Jack Russell and people say that breed has alot of energy? HAH! They haven't seen Angel! ;) J/K She's not even a JRT, but she's absolutely adorable!!! :)

So Wicked the 5th time around was totally amazing and the cast I saw was amazing also. I saw the 1st National tour, which before I had only seen the 2nd National tour. This tour has Jackie Burns and Chandra Lee Schwartz as the two witches; both of who are very talented and amazing in their respective roles. Jackie is the newest Elphie to Wicked and she was just mind blowing amazing! I found myself picking my jaw up off the ground after her numbers. Chandra does Glinda so very well and is adorable when she has to be and serious too. I loved her "Popular!" As for Annie's opinion of if she liked it or not, all I got was she liked the books better. But she went and saw the show the following week with her mom, and I never heard anymore. :shrugs: The stage door was so weird for me this time, cause I had ZERO clue who any of the faces were in this cast...really! (SHOCKING I KNOW) Some of the faces I recognized but didn't yell for them to come over, I called it chickening out! ;) If this tells you how bad I am, the person that played Boq (Justin Brill) walked right by me and people stopped him and I was like who did you play? :smacks head: I mean thats how bad it was! Chandra and Jackie came out almost together; Chandra let us all know who she was and who she played, again I never would've known! I found out how terrible I am at using other people's cameras that night too. LOL ;) 3 attempts for this group with Chandra, 3 failed attempts with Jackie and the 4th time some one else took the picture and I got fired by Jackie for my horrible job! ;) LOL Yes she said to me "your fired" after my failed attempts! :)

So since I have been home, my latest project has been putting all of my Wicked mail into a scrapbook. I haven't gotten it all back yet, either! =O Shocking I know, but its filled up 10 pages so far! I got mail back this week, one from San Francisco, and I had just mailed a package to Felicia Ricci and I mailed Libby Servais a letter when I was in Ohio, but put a little package in with Felicia's for Libby, and oddly enough they both were doing their mail the day the package got there! Talk about great timing! hahaha I love the pictures Libby sent me, espeically the one of her and Felicia together. Their ghetto fabulous pictures! ;) I also learned that buckeyes are good luck, and yeah well I will do a blog post about that after I hear back from Felicia. ;) LOL

So that's it! Here are pictures from Ohio. :)

Palmer!! Annie's cat that she's had since we were in middle school! I love her to death!!!

One of many attempts to get a picture of Angel with a bow in her hair. Isn't she cute?!

Our view of the Wicked stage. These seats were pretty awesome if you ask me! Defying Gravity was awesome to see from this view! :)

Me with Jackie Burns!!! Ah she is amazing in Wicked. So talented and so sweet! I could've gone on for hours about how much I loved her as Elphaba, but I cut it down to only 5 minutes! :) Some one that was there had seen Eden Espinosa in Wicked in the same role and told her she was better than Eden. I was like wow! ;) I got a hug from Jackie after I quit rambling! LOL

Me with Chandra Lee Schwartz!!! Amazing onstage and so sweet off. She, thankfully, let us know she played Glinda, cause heck she could've walked right by me and I never would've known it was her! I started to ask if Mariand, the tour s/b, was coming out...but quickly corrected myself. LOL I dunno why I thought the s/b was going on, duh!

Summer Thus Far....And Coming Events!!!

< Something I did recently, and Anne's was the first one that I got back. :)

Ok so what's been going on since May 30th, when I saw Wicked? Not much! Well kind of sort of, but been trying to keep busy!

A little bit a drama went on and has resolved itself. :rolls eyes: Some of the things that happened and was said, I wish wasn't, but thats all in the past now. :)

So I have been swimming a bit each day, or trying to! ;) Its been so hot outside and so the pool water is either really hot or really cold, but this week it has been just right and felt great! The no diving board thing is fine now, still dive on the side of the pool. :)

So Gaia is coming in 10 days. Am I excited, yes am I not yes! :) Confusifying yet?! ;) I love my darling and adorable niece, but sometimes I could just scream! Who the heck knows what the plans are at the moment, I am really hoping one day will be at Carowinds. :) ;)

So August guess what I am seeing again?! Oh I dunno its a little show called Wicked!!! :) This time via tour #1, which is the other touring company. BUT I heard a very familar face is coming to this tour and will be excited to see her for sure. Annie is going with me and it will be her first time and my 5th! EEK! So excited!!!

I went and saw Rent for my 4th time last night. Great group of performer's and I really enjoyed it! :) The show that is, some other stuff happened that I rather not mention. :shakes head: But it was well worth another 2 hour drive to go see a great show! Rent ranks up there with my favorites. :)

Well that's it. I am worn out and about to climb into bed.

Wicked in Charlotte Take Two!

This was not planned! It was an idea that was floating around last week and a plan came together when my friend Jessica had the idea to try for the lottery. After getting my "paranoid" family's blessing to go to Charlotte, a plan was set in motion for Sunday! :) I found out during the week that Vicki Noon was out on vacation and the tour's standby; Anne Brummel; was doing the shows and there was a small chance the understudy could have her debut; Christine Dwyer. I was in a win-win situation! I had seen Christine in "Rent" and really wanted to see Anne as Elphaba.

So flash-forward to the lottery, my name was on card #2 and Jessica's was on #4, her lucky number. What it is you show up 2 1/2 hours before the show and put ur name in a drum and they randomly draw names for 1 or 2 tickets for a limited number of seats. (20 seats) Most people put in for 2 seats, so reality they draw 10 names. We didn't win. :( But they said there $40 single tickets available and I looked at Jessica and said lets do it, balcony seats are better than nothing at all! Right? Well we were in orchestra seating I was in row C and she was in row D! Not too bad for $40, eh? ;)

So with 90 minutes to kill before the show, we packed a picnic lunch before knowing it was going to be a long day! :) So we got out the food and put a blanket under a nice big tree by the stage door. We had met with another friend of mine at the lottery, who was going to the show, but she helped us with the lottery. So we had our lunch and watched people drive in. Interesting, you knew if they were in the cast or crew cause they didn't pay. That was the fun part trying to figure out who was who! ;)

So after awhile we started seeing cast come in. I had finished my sandwhich and was just looking around and talking. All the sudden some one came up talking about playbills and sending them back already, and I was like who in the world?! It was Christine Dwyer, the Elphaba understudy! I didn't recognize her with her sunglasses on. It was fun talking to her before the show. I asked, cause I knew there was a tiny chance she could go on, if she knew she was going on and she said no unless something happened, that Anne had been rock solid. =o) No complaints, but I knew my bud Dana would be happy to hear she hadn't missed her debut. ;) So then all 3 of us saw Natalie Daradich (Glinda) pull in, which is hilarious that we all knew her car! Jessica, who had never done the stage door before, goes "She will probably recognize you when she turns around this way." And what do you know, she did! ;) Natalie waved and talked to us on her way in. Asked if we were going to the show and to have a good time. (I swear how strange did it have to look to see people sitting out there at the door before the show) Then Jenn Furman (midwife/ensemble) walked up and knew me (gotta love Facebook) and talked to us. I got a nice hug from her again too. :) Then we saw Erin Wilson (shen-shen/ensemble) pull in and actually parked behind Jessica's car. (guess we were in the VIP area) She asked if we won, nope but we are going! LOL Asked where are seats were, cause I think I said something about getting orchestra seats for $40. Explained that whole thing and she said she would wave to us during the show. :)

By that time was over, it was time for us to start walking back toward the front entrance. We walked in and actually found the cast board this time! I was so THRILLED to see Anne's name up for Elphaba, and she was the only one up there! ;) I was really hoping to see Kristine Reese as Nessa, and got my 2nd chance there! :) So we didn't have to walk far to get to where we walked in. So when they let us we made our way to our seats, all the way down in the front. Of cours the luck I have, I had 2 tall people in front of me! :rolls eyes: For the first time I went down to look at the orchestra pit and got an earful about not taking pictures of the map that's onstage. :rolls eyes: You learn someting new everyday!

And to the show! Natalie was as amazing as ever as Glinda, that didn't change. Her "Popular" is my favorite of all time. She's so bubbly like Glinda should be in the show. Anne, she was just amazing from the moment she popped onstage. I have never been a fan of the song "Wizard and I" but her and Vicki Noon have made me a lover of it. Anne was just amazing and really belted it out during this number. She reminded me a bit of Carrie Manolakos (former 2nd tour standby) in this number. During "Popular" there were bits of Marcie Dodd (former 2nd tour lead) which was great to see. I loved that she did the little squeal in the school room scene following "Popular." Another number "I'm Not That Girl" there are two ways to do the final note and both Anne and Natalie (Glinda does a reprise of it during Act 2) took the note up, rather than do the low note. Which I had never heard before. The finale of Act 1 "Defying Gravity" was just as bone chilling as ever. Anne's voice is so different and unique, I for the first time in tears just about after this song. She really belted it out (as its called). She didn't do the famous growl, but my jaw was still on the ground when she went up in the lift. (side note: many people wondered why Anne was only the standby and what the lead sounded like) "As Long As Your Mine" I swear they need a room! ;) (If you have seen the show you know what I am talking about) But Anne and Chris really need a separate room at the end of this song. ;) They sounded great together. The catfight scene, I always enjoy this part of the show. I had a great close-up of the slap and I loved Anne's witch cackle! "No Good Deed" Anne again was mind blowing and sent chills up and down your spine. When it came time for the song "For Good" I was bracing myself for the bawling song. I didn't do as bad as I have in the past, but still did cry. Anne and Natalie have wonderful chemistry onstage and at this point in the show, is where you really see the friendship between Elphie and Glinda.

Another amazing show! The ensemble of the 2nd tour is one of the best! Truly amazing dancers and performers! They really make the show interesting to watch, and backing up to Erin's comment before the show, both Jessica and I caught her wave during the show. ;)

So of course we hit the stage door again. I am including the pictures from both experiences, since I didn't get any repeats since there were so many people out there. :)

Erin Wilson (ShenShen/Ensemble/Madame Morrible u/s) 5/20/2010

All 3 times I have met her she has been super sweet. :) 4 months of correspondence online, I met her each trip to Wicked, basically. :) I am jealous of anyone that will get to see her Morrible, I wish I can get that lucky! :)

Jenn Furman (Midwife/Ensemble/Madame Morrible u/s) 5/20/2010

It was so funny after Durham, she had messaged me out of the blue on Facebook and said she knew I was at the show, but had to rush out to the store. Met her both times in Charlotte and was really sweet. :)

Chris Peluso (Fiyerio) 5/20/2010

He bolted out after Durham's show, but caught him in Charlotte! Really nice guy! Cute too! When this was taken, I told him I saw he had AC. ;) (Ah the joys of Facebook)Jessica was excited to meet him and was like he touched me! ;)

Natalie Daradich (Galinda) 5/20/2010

She's one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! :) I happen to know her biggest fans out in SF and she kindly let me know had gotten her package. ;) On the 30th, she was a bit embaressed for having shoved a cookie in mouth before coming out. She didn't smell of chocolate, I think Jessica said she smelt like strawberries???

Vicki Noon (Elphaba) 5/20/2010

A bad pic on my part, but she was really nice. She stopped with us again and took a picture with my aunt. :) Her Elphaba is fierce and was better than in Durham.

Michelle London ((She was Nessa on 5/4 & 5/20)) (Phfanee/ensemble/Glinda & Nessarose u/s) 5/30/2010

This was the 2nd picture I got with her, the first one didn't turn out good on my part. She made a really sweet comment about Kristine's Nessa performance. She started to sign her name "Monday" instead of Michelle. LOL

Christine Dwyer (Ensemble/Elphaba u/s--my first Maureen in Rent) 5/30/2010

Really sweet too! Fun to talk to before and after the show. Her, Jenn and Erin all stopped at the same time on this day. She will always will be my first Maureen, so glad I got to meet her and see her in Wicked. :) I got my playbills back from her this week too with a sweet letter! :)

Kristine Reese (Nessarose) 5/30/2010

I had thought I had missed her Nessa all together, so glad I went again. I absolutely loved her again. She came out with a huge smile on her face ready to sign and looked happy to be there. :) She said "Hi Cortney" when she saw me. Really shocked she knew me, but it was great to be a familar face out in the crowd.

Marilyn Caskey (Madame Morrible) 5/30/2010

I had missed her on 5/20 but caught her this time around! :) Loved her Morrible! :) She liked my hair, and at the time I forgot she too is a redhead! ;)

Anne Brummel (Elphaba s/b) 5/30/2010

Finally! LOL Everyone else I know has seen her Elphaba, and I got my chance to see her and meet her! I told her about the package I sent her and said the fist part of it and she remembered it and my name. :) She loved it, she said. I let her know I got her letter and picture from her. :)

Charlotte Playbills and Tickets w/Anne's slip!

On another side note: Felicia Ricci, who is the Elphaba standby in San Francisco, has gone on as Elphaba each time I have seen tour 2 in North Carolina! Weird coincidence, or just luck for her. ;) Remind you, Vicki Noon and Natalie Daradich came from that same company. ;) Hahahaha!

One truly amazing cast and 3 amazing shows! Will miss them when they leave North Carolina.

Wicked in Charlotte!

< stage view in Charlotte. :) Just about the same as Durham, except on the other side and up a level. ;)

Well another 2 hour drive to see Wicked and was it worth it? Hmmm Duh! YES IT WAS! :o) Nice part has been spending time with my grandparents and aunt and uncle that live over here. After all the crap going on with my grandpa, its nice to see and hear that he's been having good days since I've been here. :o)

So going back to Thursday, we went to the matinee, which meant having to leave here before noon. We ate at Olive Garden, I had just some pasta with butter. I was hungry, but not for Olive Garden really, but that was the closest thing to the theater. ;) More funny, I saw a family there that were sitting behind us at the show. ;) hahaha

So arriving at the theater, its nothing like DPAC. There is no parking deck, the parking lot actually is located where the cast comes out after the show. Which made finding the stage door really easy! ;) Minus the person I asked tried to tell me there were 2 locations they could come out, never did find that other door. ;)

Again it was Vicki Noon and Natalie Daradich for the leads. :) Full cast as its called. ;) The whole cast over-all was better than when they were in Durham. Whatever plagued Vicki in Durham, seemed to be gone! She was just awesome! There is no other word to describe her Elphaba on Thursday. Natalie was equally strong and adorable in her role as Glinda. I absolutely love her Popular. =D Again the entire cast was amazing. :) I can't say it enough.

The stage door was once again a very fun experience. I swear I was the only one out there that knew who any of them were! LOL The family that sat behind us, the little girl is a huge fan of Glinda and I told her before the show that I knew a way that she could meet Glinda after the show, and it was cute she wasn't sure Natalie was Glinda cause she's brunette under the wig. ;) Gotta love kids reactions when they see the cast out of costume. ;) Vicki came out with her hair still pinned and with the wig cap on, which I had never seen before. Of course all the shows I had been to were night shows and not a matinee until this one. ;) Met the same 3 from Durham (Vicki Natalie and Erin) and then 3 new ones. :) (Michelle London, Jenn Furman & Chris Peluso) I should say I saw most of the cast come out. ;) I saw Marilyn Caskey who plays Madame Morrible and Christine Dwyer who's the Elphaba u/s, plus many others. :)

Well that's it! It all came to an end so soon, but looking forward to seeing the 1st tour this summer! :)

Wicked was totally Awesome!

< The stage from my seat. :)

Here's my review of the show! :) I had an awesome time at the show. Vicki and Natalie and the rest of the 2nd tour cast were just amazing! Get out and see them if they come to a city near you. =D

Lottery

Everyone should experience the lottery for the Broadway shows! I went to help a friend get a ticket to the show and while I didn’t win, it was an experience!

If you are in Durham, go eat at the Mellow Mushroom! That place is awesome! Great pizza, they have every pizza topping known to man. My friend's mom got the cesaer salad pizza!

No One Morns The Wicked
I watched the dragon this time and missed the monkey’s coming in! The next thing I heard was my friend goes, look at the monkey’s! The bubble was working! Its had issues since getting here to Durham! The first sign it was coming out, was like 3 huge bubbles followed by the little ones. Natalie did great with this song. I heard some one around me go, “Oh my gosh that baby is actually green!”

Dear Old Shiz/Going into Wizard and I
Vicki got a great round of applause running out. I love watching this scene. Each Elphie does it differently, which makes it great cause you never see it the same twice. Natalie messed up her name, of all things! She said Glinda instead of Galina Upland.

Wizard and I
This song is not one of my favorites, but Vicki was awesome during this number and it really gets the ball rolling. She gave me goose bumps all over from the start. She did take the octave down at the end. That was the only thing I could see that was different. She was sick all last week, so it was understandable.

What is this Feeling? (Loathing)
I knew this song was coming next and I was laughing before it started! Vicki and Natalie have a great presence together onstage. You can see their friendship shine through onstage and during this song. I loved Vicki’s little dance.

Dancing Through Life
I always have liked this part of the show. Just love how Fiyerio rides on in and brings a party of his own. (if that makes sense) I paid more attention to the dancing this time and the choreography is just amazing. The Elphie dance via Vicki was comical to watch too!

Sharing Secrets/Popular
This part got many laughs. Natalie, I don’t know the word to describe her during the number! She is so much like you would think Glinda would be. I love the Wilma Flintstone laugh she does during her toss toss. She does the toss toss and then does the laugh and then does some weird body movement. It was comical to watch Vicki do the second toss toss! Oh in the classroom scene after, Vicki’s 2nd toss toss was more comical than during the number!

I’m Not That Girl
One thing I guess I didn’t pay much attention to was the effects they do during this number. I was fascinated by the rain of all things! Vicki did great with this song, she hit the low notes with no problems.

One Short Day
I went with 2 people that have never seen the show, my friend was like oh wow that’s cool when the ozian came out doing the gymnastics. This is one of my favorite numbers; Vicki and Natalie did great with the song and the ensemble was great too.

Meeting the Wizard/Sentimental Man
Either it was me or it was DPAC or the night, but they really had the mics turned up! When the Wizard started talking I actually jumped in my seat! I love this scene leading up to the Act 1 finale! My friend commented about how it was cool to see the monkey’s transform.

Defying Gravity
Vicki literally blew the roof off the house! She was just awesome during this number! She really gets into the part during this song and when she stood up after Natalie put the cloak around her and she stood up, that part always gives me the chills. Her climax of the song was just amazing! She literally had me and my friend and her mom speechless and my friend was trying to figure out how she flew!

Thank Goodness
My friend and her mom compared Natalie to Evita during this song. Natalie was great during this number, again. I love this number for numerous reasons, love how Glinda tricks Fiyerio in a sense.

The Wicked Witch of the East
This was my first time seeing Michelle, I missed Kristine’s return by a week. They are both listed in the playbill. Michelle was great as Nessa. She does this role really well and really showed her love for Boq last night. I loved at the end, how my friend realized Boq was the tinman! Hah!

Wonderful
Returning to set the monkey’s free. Don does a great job with this number and I love his little dance he does across the stage.

I’m Not That Girl Reprise
Natalie hit the low note! I was really shocked at how her and Vicki both were able to hit the note and it sound good.

As Long As Your Mine
I had the best view of this song! Literally right in front of me. I wanted to catch what everyone was talking about with this song. I realized its Chris that changed up the part of Fiyerio. Seriously, you had to use the jaws of life to pry them apart! Vicki and Chris were great onstage during this number.

Catfight
This is my favorite part of the show! I love how before this, they put in the effect of the cyclone. And one thing I didn’t see before, was you do see the house flying through the air on the screen. “Well we can’t all come and go by bubble!” I watched Natalie and the look on her face when Vicki said that was priceless and the audience agreed with Elphie on that. Natalie stood there with her one hand on her hip like hah whatever! Another quick note on my friend that was with me; she figured out who Fiyerio at the end.

No Good Deed
Vicki was just amazing during this number. She belted it out! Again I had a great view of this number, I was on the edge of my seat watching this one too. She just showed so much emotion! She got a huge round of applause at the end.

March of the Witch Hunters
I always hate when the show gets to this point, because it means its almost over! The ensemble with the 2nd tour just amazes me. This touring group is just amazing! I love Marilyn Caskey as Morrible and love her in this number.

For Good
Vicki didn’t slam the trap door like Marcie did when I saw it in Greenville, or maybe it was because I was sitting on the same side of it. I love the dodo quote and the shoes! The moment before the music started for For Good I was in tears and even said to my friend I hate this song! LOL I hate it for the fact that I cry every time I see it onstage! Vicki and Natalie are just awesome during this number. So much emotion, even though I was sitting there wiping my eyes the entire time.

Melting Scene
Another observation made was that the sound that comes on that breaks Elphie and Glinda apart from the hug, I thought came from the right hand side and it came from the left hand side. Vicki’s scream was different, only word to describe it. But a good different.

Finale
The show literally flew by! It was hard to believe you were at the Wizard and Morrible scene at the end! Vicki did the “trap door” part really well. From my angle you couldn’t tell she didn’t come up from under the stage. Great Finale all-around. Cheering for everyone during the curtain call too.

Stage Door

I found a side door to out of and found the door within seconds of getting out the door. I actually about walked into the actual backstage stage door, I got lost! LOL Ok to be honest after everything I heard about Durham and the two door situation, I was worried. But the crew members came out and popped their head back in and said something to some one. Then another lady came out and was looking for friends of some one with the show and said they were on their way out. As to who, didn’t know at that point! Some one was coming out. The Boq understudy, I am not sure of the name came out first. His family or friends or whoever was there standing actually next to me at the door. I think 2 of them took part in the lottery! I dunno what was wrong with me last night, but I was more fascinated with the stupid street behind us!

Natalie and Vicki were both out within 15 minutes of the show ending. I didn’t stick around to see if anyone else would come out after they did, I was done with the 3 I got. J Vicki had a tint of green still on her, but was quick coming out!

Natalie Daradich
My fellow Wicked fan and friend goes there’s Natalie. I was like what? Where? I was turned away from the door! Turned around and found Natalie standing right in front of me! I had so much crap in my hands, including her letter from her to have it signed plus 3 playbills! (plus other stuff in my hands, which wound up on the ground each time) She was super nice! I mean she talked to me a good while, there were other people at the door, but I felt like I was alone with her! She signed everything, including the letter. I even jokingly said, does this look familiar? She seemed to know me from our correspondence online. She knew I was coming again in Charlotte, I had the long drive home. J She was just super sweet! No other word to describe her!

Erin Wilson
Incase you don’t know, Erin is in the ensemble and plays Shen-Shen. I had told Erin in advance I would be at the door and please come out! (this was last weekend, when none were coming out) I didn’t think she would be performing last night cause she hurt her ankle on Sunday, but so relieved when I saw her onstage. I asked Natalie to make sure, cause knowing my luck I got it wrong. Natalie even pointed her out to me. J Erin is one of the sweetest people! I have corresponded with her since January and she sent me a signed playbill after I sent her a package. J I got a huge hug from her too. It was great to meet her in person. Of course she knew me, I said I would see her in Charlotte. Hah! J

Vicki Noon
Again my Wicked friend pointed out Vicki was out and its like how did we miss her coming out? She just appeared out of nowhere all the sudden. Very nice, she was just amazing! She took time with everyone, there were a lot of people there! (surprisingly) I even said to her I was the one that asked, on her fan page, about the in the playbill about her little thing that was directed toward Natalie Daradich. (incase you are wondering; she said “Lets do this Nat” and these two are best friends off stage) Just to get a topic started. She signed Natalie’s letter for me too. I got two pictures with her; one with her and then one with her and Natalie. I wanted a sandwitch picture with them and so glad I got it. My friend came over and goes I want to meet Elphaba right to Vicki! Its like well, there ya go you found her!

Yes I copied and pasted this from somewhere else because I couldn't re-write this out! It was a night I will never ever forget! I had a the time of my life and thank you again to the 2nd tour company for a memorable night! See you all in Charlotte! :) :D

Tomorrow is less than a day away!

< Planted these during the week. They aren't suppose to come back, but have in the front yard and one set came back from last year. :)

Ok this weekend was so slow for me! Saturday I woke up at 7:30 and I swear the next time I saw a clock I thought it would be 5:00 and it was 2:00! Oy! Just a slow day and it was like gawd is this a sign of what the next days were going to be like?

My dad's golfing buddy and his wife came in to spend the night Saturday before going to Myrtle Beach. :D (wish I was going there) So Sunday we got up and went to Waffle House for breakfast and I have to say I love that we have one of those nearby! :) Basically spend Sunday's eating breakfast there now a days! :)

Picked up so seeds to plant in the backyard too. None of the seeds we planted last year have really come up, so we are taking 50 on this one! The plants we buy to put in the ground are just as bad! Hahaha I do not have a green thumb, that I can say! The only ones that are coming up it seems like are the Columbine's I planted last year on 4/20, which was the 10th anniversary of the Columbine HS massacre. Planted more of those yesterday to see if they would come up in a different spot. ;)

Friday I started to do my Wii Active again and I swear the lower part of my body is still sore! Ugh! I need to get back into the habit of doing it again, cause its too hot to walk now. =/ No excuse, but still.

TOMORROW IS WICKED!!!!!! Can you tell how excited I am?! ;) I am so excited to see this touring company again. They are an amazingly group of talented people! So many new faces to see, too. While I will NOT be disappointed to see Anne Brummel as Elphaba or Christine Dwyer at that, I am really hoping to catch Vicki Noon and Natalie Daradich together. :D I have heard nothing but wonderful things about them and want to experience it all. ;)

So tomorrow too I am hoping to meet up with Lindsey. Hoping to get to DPAC in time to help her with the lottery before the show. :) It all depends if we get there before 5:00! ;) Eatting dinner at the Mellow Mushroom and then heading back to see the show! :)

Anyone know a good way to get DUST off of black pants?! UGH! I thought washing them would do the trick, but apparently not! Why me?!

Next blog will be all about Wicked!!!! :)

90 days ago.....

Ther is a song from "Wicked" that has the words "I've been changed for good," in it. 90 days ago, when I started counting down the days until my turn to see this awesome musical, I never thought I would be as "involved" as I have become. ;)

A year ago, I knew Wicked was coming to DPAC and waited for months before they announced the dates. Come January, ordered tickets and then the search for which touring company I was seeing came about and searching for which group was which, in the back of my mind I was hoping for tour #2, but didn't care. And now I am thrillified I am going to be seeing the 2nd tour for so many reasons. I am going to see the 1st tour in August, and looking forward to that too. =D

I saw a link about a Wicked auction for Haiti and thats how my whole wild journey began! From going from not being able to get in touch with the person running to finally getting that taken care of, those 2 weeks were stressful in a sense, but showed that the group on this tour is genuine and they pitch in to help if needed. :)

This week the tour hit Durham, NC! (FINALLY) On Wednesday I opened the mailbox to find a very familar looking envelope and was very shocked and thrilled to see it there. Erin Wilson, the one who ran the Haiti auction and who has been so sweet to me over the past 4 months, had sent me a signed playbill from the 2nd tour! I had sent her a package and I wasn't expecting anything back. I was totally surprised and it is a very much treasured item of mine.

The days are steaming by and May 4th is getting closer. :) I am so excited to see the tour and hope to meet the new faces. =D

PLEASE NOTE: I did not ask for the signed playbill. If you want to get a playbill signed, please go see the show and head to the stage door. The cast of Wicked will usually come out after each show. Please do not ask me how to get one, because I do not know! Thanks!

Something Wicked Is Flying Into DPAC!

< The 2nd National Tour is in Durham for their 3 week run! =D

Finally after a year of waiting for the tour to come to DPAC and months and months of waiting since buying tickets, the tour is now on their way or are in North Carolina for the next 6 weeks basically! =D

I started my countdown to May 4th and it was at 99 days and today it's at 15 days! (2 weeks from tomorrow) And back at 89 days, it seemed like an eternity until they were going to be here; and after Greenville it was like its just over 2 months away! :)

So excited to see this amazing touring company again! Even though many have left the tour since Greenville, I am anxious to see new faces and put another name to the many different roles of this show. I have heard over and over about Vicki Noon and Natalie Daradich and how bummed people were they left San Francisco to join the tour, and its like they are sharing their talent all over the country now. ;) More of us get to see them. hahaha

So the funny part is, in Charlotte this I dunno what the heck its called, will be set up at a mall there the duration of the tour's stay there, where you can get into Glinda's bubble and I dunno what else its all about. ;) But my aunt was like pick which one you want to do; the stage door or that?! COME ON! LOL Hard choice, not really! ;)

So the countdown is on till Durham's trip to see Wicked and after that the countdown will be on to see Charlotte's first matinee! =) So exciting! I cannot wait!!!!

Yahoo!!!!!!!!!

< the front of Natalie Daradich's letter. Isn't that cute?!

So FINALLY my aunt was like ok order the tickets for Wicked. :) So I called the place twice, because I didn't like the tickets they had online. So I called and while I was on hold, Defying Gravity was playing in the background! I was like, gee how did the computer know I was calling about Wicked?! ;)

So the lady I first talked to was really nice and found seats better than I found online! :) So I then turned around and called them back and took those seats! They are in the Mezzo section row AA (first row) Seats 12 & 13, to the right of the center section. :) YAY FOR NOT HAVING HUGE HEADS IN FRONT OF US!

So Charlotte's date is May 20th at 2:00 (ugh or 2:30...can't remember). Its the first matinee of the stop! Thinking back to it all, I wanted to go see this for some odd reason. Just to be at one of the first shows. :) Not the first show, but one of them. ;)

So yes I am seeing Wicked 16 days apart, but its worth it! Love the show, love this touring company! They are just awesome! =D

Myrtle Beach Sucked! =(

< Want to know how to get a kid to help you wash the bathtub? Buy some of that Kaboom stuff that goes on blue and then turns white when the area is clean! ;) Seriously, Gaia enjoyed cleaning the bathtub with me! ;)

So backing up to last weekend. We went to Myrtle Beach last Friday, after a bloody cold front came through and it was like not even 70 here or there. Ugh!

So we stayed at a different hotel than we usually did, because the one we usually stayed at, had like 2 rooms to one area and we didn't need that. So of course check-in comes around and Gaia and I are swimming. First we went to the water park at the hotel and the water was FREEZING cold! Then headed to the indoor pool, which was nice compared to the outdoor one! ;) Minus there being some rude kids in the pool who really didn't care if they smacked you with something or whatever, it was fun to go swimming. :)

The drama of the hotel room saga began at check-in. The first room they gave us was located over the pool, my parents said because it reaked of chlorine. So the 2nd room they gave us was better, but the TV in the little living area looked like the TVs back when I was a kid and you had to have an atenna to make it work. So after all of that we went to dinner.

Dinner was great. The funny part of that was meeting a family that lived in Goldsboro who are also going to see Wicked next month. Apparently their mom is a huge fan! ;)

Back to the hotel, they gave us another room. Again not much better! So my parents decided to check out and get their money back. We were going to see if there was a vacancy in our hotel that we always stay at and zero luck there. It was Spring Break, chances were of a vacancy down there were close to ZERO, except for the hotel we were staying at!

Oh get this, before we even got out of the room, they gave our room to some one else and two people walked into our room, LITERALLY! Its like what kind of service is this?! ;)

So instead of staying at the beach that night, we drove home at 11:00. Didn't get home till after 2 in the morning!

I was tired all weekend and plus Gaia was a brat on Saturday before going home. She decided to cough up an attitude with me and I had enough of it and was like ok no more movie, go upstairs! Ugh! She does this everytime she comes. I hate it! =/

Well thats it. I am still tired from the week and weekend! 10 days till Wicked trip #1! So excited to go again!!!! =D

I want my bed back!!!!

< So happy some one got their package. :)

I am really wanting my own bed back! I love my niece and all, but tired of fighting with her about her sleeping in my bed every night. I finally gave in last night and let her sleep in my bed. And of COURSE she fell asleep watching New Moon and so here we go again with the 1000 questions about which movie is which! ;)

So yesterday, I took Gaia over to see Kate's kitties. =) Tilly has grown so much since the last time Gaia saw her and of course Tilly was anti-social and not wanting to be around. She did keep her eyes on Gaia the entire time, which was funny. She played with Gaia at the end, though. :)

Last night we went to Albemarle for dinner and here's a shock, we were the last people to show up! ;) My grandma, grandpa, aunt and uncle that live in gastonia, my aunt and uncle and their grandson's from seven lakes, were all there for dinner. It was great seeing everyone. My cousin's oldest son is as tall as me now! Amazing, I remember him when he was a baby! =)

So thats it for now. The pollen is terrible right now and its miserable to be outside. :( Which sucks cause its so hot outside! Wicked is 2 weeks from tomorrow! I cannot wait! =) Doubly excited also right now cause Kate's mom is ok with going to the stage door on May 4th! Yay! Can't wait for the full experience again! =D

Charlotte, Easter, Gaia, Tooth Fairy.....OH MY!

< Gaia on night #1. Notice anything strange?

This weekend was a good one. My mom and I travelled to Charlotte for the holiday. We left here to get over to eat lunch at the Chinese place in Gastonia. =D (best place ever) I made the HUGE mistake and went walking out in the pollen and wound up with the worst headache alive. =( I was miserable on Saturday night and was asleep before 9:30.

Easter Sunday was spent at my grandparents house. =) Oh Saturday I finally got to see my step-cousin's daughter Rylan. She is so cute! She was as shy as can be, but loved running away from Sadie. ;) hahaha So Sunday we had dinner and such. My aunt's chocolate cake was amazingly good. The whole meal was wonderful! =D It was great to see my uncle's mom (Grandma Lay) also. =)

So Sunday I woke to a text from my mom saying my dad was coming home with Gaia. I was like are you kidding me?! She was coming today, not yesterday! Ugh!!!!!! =) So of course they beat us home, and my mom and I even got lost using the GPS, how is that possible?! We figured out a way to do it! ;)

So last night we had to make a run to Wal-Mart because her dad forgot to pack somethings. ;) hahaha Gaia got the Alvin & the Chipmunks sequal last night. I thought it was funny about her wanting to get a doll! I was like you will never play with this thing! LOL She has enjoyed her zhu-zhu hamster.

So she was working on her homework, she has to write in a journal everyday for school. And all the sudden she came down and shows me she lost a tooth! It was loose when she got here, but man she really worked at it. That's the picture up there. She's missing 3 teeth on top at the moment. She has one tooth up there in the front! LOL She sounds so funny when she talks and she looks like a jack o lantern too! HAH! ;) I haven't heard if the fairy visited last night.....

Well thats it. I am sadden I won't get to see Marcie Dodd in a couple of weeks in Wicked, but I am excited to see Vicki Noon. I have heard nothing but great things about her. =D

A few surprises in the mail this week!

< This was in the mail today from Renea, a fellow Wicked fan in Florida!

Its like the never ending Birthday going on. I have gotten at least one thing a day this week. =D I love it!

To catch up....I got my book back from Carrie. =) Except I wonder if it was left out in the rain Sunday night because the book and envelope were soaking wet! Arg! Not ruined though!

I also recieved a letter back from Natalie Daradich, who is with the 2nd tour now as Glinda. I couldn't figure out the address at first but then I saw "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" through the envelope and knew who it was right away. She is one sweet person! I sent her a note and a list of things to go see and do in the upcoming cities. ;) It was cute too, another Wicked fan I know on Facebook, her daughter wrote Natalie a 2 page note and asked her questions and Natalie wrote the little girl back and answered all of the questions. Just so sweet! I CANNOT wait to see her in 3 weeks!!! =o)

Then today I got a package from Renea. I opened it up to find the playbill and the letter. I read the note and she mentioned a DVD and I looked at what was in my hand and it wasn't there, the CD was still in the envelope! HAH! It has Marcie Dodd and Megan Hilty on it and oh my such a great pair and two of my favorite Wicked actresses! I am thrillified to have this! =D This was 2 years ago, Marcie was powerful then and she's just has gotten BETTER with time. =D

Now other than feeling like a truck ran me over, that made my day. =D

A Wicked Birthday!!!!

< A Wicked birthday that had a very noisy ending! =)

I had a great birthday. Had so many wishes posted on my Facebook wall. I swear I was cleaning out my inbox every hour of all the messages. ;) It was great though!

So I got a Border's gift card from my mom's co-worker's cats, $30 in cash also. I got earrings for my 2nd hole of my birthstone. They are beautiful! =) A sining stuffed animal and a $15 i-tunes gift card. ;) That gift card was recycled from my mom's birthday present! LOL

So Katie had a great time at Wicked last night. =D I got updates all through the day and the 2.5 hours of the show went back really fast for me, but the day went so slow! ;) Bless her heart though, it was pouring down rain and none of the cast stopped at the door to sign autographs. :( I feel so bad for her. I am going to find a way to get her one still. I still got a Happy Birthday wish from one of the cast members, over on my Twitter. So that was just as special! =D

So it was a stormy end to my birthday! VERY STORMY! Pouring down rain here and thunder, lighting and bad wind. I am glad I wasn't in the western part of the state getting the tornados! EEK!

So that's it. Outta here!

The weekend is here! =)

< I love this plant when its in bloom. The flowers are so pretty. =)

The week flew by it seemed!

So my dad had to have a heart caph done today to check on things. Last year he found out that he had 4 (I was told 3) blockages and it has been treated medically. So today he had another done and nothing has changed and I think my mom said one of the arteries improved. =) Such a relief to hear that.

I would love to know where the spring weather went off too!!! It snowed in Ohio 2 inches this morning! And here its getting colder as the day goes on. I have a jacket on! LOL I have been wearing capri pants all week. Blah! Spring needs to either stay or make up its mind! LOL

So YES my birthday is on Sunday!!!! I dunno why I am so excited to turn a year older, but yeah! LOL My birthday present isn't until May 4th, when I see Wicked. =) That is what my parents got me.

Oh my countdown to Wicked in May....I started at 99 days...and today its down to 39! Where in the world has the past 60 days gone? Can't believe it! It will be the end of April before I know it! ;)

So other than cake and cards from family, nothing special with actually happen on my birthday, for me.....but for some one I know, they are doing something I want to go do! LOL =D

Anyways....thats it! I have been cleaning all day and being productive. =)

No Carowinds this year.....

< won't be riding that this year.

I am a thrill seeker and I was YES looking forward to going to Carowinds this year. They are getting a new coaster and they got a new one last year. But I am giving it up for something else. ;)

WICKED!

So worth it. I will be seeing it when they go to Charlotte, YES after being in Durham just 3 weeks before, 2 weeks after my show. =) YAHOO!

If my aunt throws her back out, she can blame it on sitting in the chairs at the theater! LOL That's part of the reason I asked her if she rather go see Wicked. I would hate for her back to go out while we are at Carowinds.

I am getting excited about them coming back this way. Looks like, according to the "news" yesterday, I be seeing some one new as Elphaba and Glinda. And the video I heard of Vicki and Natalie together, they sound AWESOME together! I am bummed about not geting to see Marcie one final time (if this is all true), but I just want the day to get here already! =) It started at 99 days left and now its down to 44 basically now. =)

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!

I miss my old bedding all the sudden....

< That's what I am missing.

My brother sent a picture of my niece last night and I saw my old bed and bedding and sheets in the picture. I miss it! :(

Don't get me wrong I love my queen size bed and the new bedding, but I miss my butterfly bedding and all my stuff that went with it. :( I am glad my 8 year old niece is enjoying it, but since she got a full size bed, she's no fun to sleep with when she wants to sleep with me! Two words: BED HOG! LOL

Oy! I can't wait for dinner tonight. My dad is bringing home Tommy's Sub for dinner! They have the most awesome subs and pizza! Ever in Columbus, Ohio...go eat there! They're all over the place in Columbus. ;) One of the many things I miss about Ohio, the other being Cedar Point, Kings Island, Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, COSI, Wynadot Lake (its no longer there...but truly one thing I miss), family and friends....the list goes on. I have a love/hate relationship with "home" but the summer time is when I miss it the most.

Oh yeah and Grandma is coming for a 2 week visit. =D

That's my ramble for today....

The coming weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!

< that plant was in bloom last year and just now getting blooms this year. Its so pretty when its blooming. :)

The coming weeks I hope will go by quickly! But I am so excited!

This weekend, New Moon dvd comes out! Yahoo! :) :) :) Then Sunday I am going to see "Little House on the Prairie the Musical" with Melissa Gilbert. If you don't know who she is, she was the original Laura Ingalls in the TV series. I grew up watching the re-runs of that show, I loved it and still love to pull out the DVD's today and watch it. :) I love the books too. :)

Then March 28th is my birthday! :) Why am I excited, I dunno. I might be getting the best present ever from some one. ;)

Miss Gaia is coming April 5th-9th for her spring break. Yay and Nay on that one! I love my darling little niece, but who knows how she's going to be this time. She loved on me last time, and hated my mom. But usually I am the one she beats up and goes home and tells her mom how terrible I was! :rolls eyes: Shall see what those 5 wonderful days will bring! Of course last time she was only here 4 days, so yeah we will see.

Then Wicked will be right around the corner after that. ;) lol I am so excited to go again! :) Even more exciting if my aunt and I decide to go see them in Charlotte rather than go to Carowinds. Hey, Carowinds will always be there, but seeing Wicked again, may not be. ;) LOL Plus I want to try and drag my mom out to see it too. ;) Especially if the tour gets a new Elphaba like the rumor states. :) Still dunno who I am seeing in May anyways or April at that matter. :shrugs: Well no I take that back, I know one person, and she's in the ensemble, but will she be in the ensemble or playing Morrible? ;) Well I take that back again, its just the Elphaba lead I dunno about, the others are set I guess.

So there's my post of the day. :)

PS: I can't get over this, some one I know on Facebook, his grandpa's dog's name is Cortney. YES! Spelt the same way as my name and the dog is a girl! =D And in a reverse I know some one's whose daughter's name is Sadie, like my dog. Wow! Tiss a small world after all!

I need to go back to Grammar School!

http://erin-wilson.blogspot.com/2010/03/their-theyre-there.html < this all started after I read that!

I was reading through Twitter updates and talking on Facebook when over on Twitter I saw "Their, they're, there....know which one to use." Except I just saw the first 3 words and clicked on it to see what it was about. It's about the 10 most common missspelled words! LOL

Well the funny part is I turned around and was talking to Marci on Facebook and said you're and I meant your! LOL I was like I just read over all of that on that webpage! Oops! LOL

I guess I need to go back to school! LOL

Dancing With The Stars New Season

I have been giving this show the benefit of a doubt and watching it the last few dozen seasons. LOL (I didn't watch the first year) I was also pretty good at predicting the top 2, but after last season I was like I am done, and now I think I am done!

I will admit that I loved watcing Jon and Kate + 8, but it doesn't mean I could stand Kate! I seriously could not stand her and after the separation, it was mostly centered around her and not the kids. I miss seeing their show, but oh my gosh dealing with her on the show. She will not get my votes, all though it might be nice to see the kids again. Who knows!

I am excited to see the rest of the group. ;) hahaha It will be an interesting season, that is for sure!

Spring has Sprung!

< two flowers for spring!

It has been so beautiful here since the last snow storm we had here. =) This is why I love March for the most part down here, its like April/May in Ohio. Seriously its wonderful. I love to see winter come and go, and I do miss the snow when its gone, but happy when its over and its on to watching for wonderful thunderstorms and tornadoes and such. LOL

Ok mailing out the basically empty envelope wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. ;) The lady at the post office just did what I asked and then it was sent off to California. =) I again am thankful I am getting a chance to get it back, after finding out they won't do it unless you send it initially. :o) I guess it was good I didn't send my Playbill, I dunno. But I should have it back in the next couple of weeks, maybe in time for my birthday. ;) hahaha

Oh speaking of my birthday, some one I know on Facebook who is going to Wicked on my birthday, I asked her to pick me up a Playbill there and then was like get it signed at the stage door. I jokingly said, and Katie I am sure you will say otherwise, get some one to put Happy Birthday on it! hahaha It would be one cool birthday present. hahaha

So other than that, nothing much is happening. =)

Elphie and Glinda found their new home! ;)

My package arrived in Dayton safe and sound. I heard from Carrie this afternoon informing me that she received it. I was starting to worry about it. LOL Seriously I was!

Except the funny part is, that I forgot one thing! ;) I sent my little autograph filled book from various things (my Playbill is still MIA) and of course I should've known to have done this. LOL Carrie told me that usually if you don't send a SASE with what you want autographed, they won't send it back. And what was missing in my package, the SASE! LOL OOPS! I had thought about sending her one, but didn't really think about it twice, I guess I should've. ;) But she's hanging onto it for me until I can get one sent. ;) Thank Goodness!

I should've known to do that! I wrote who knows how many letters to gymnast's and such for years on years, including Terin and sent her a SASE (tried to) with each letter. LOL I guess I have been out of the letter sending loop. Darn e-mail!

Anyways I am so happy they found their new home. :) Now to figure out how to send a SASE for the book to get back here...any ideas?

2 months!!!!

The cute fabric my mom found at the beach to make a Linus blanket! I loved it! :D

So yesterday I went to Project Linus for the first time since December. I had 2 blankets from all the way back and then 2 I had made including the one above. It was great to be back there doing something for such a wonderful cause. I made 5 blankets, well cut them, I hate the knotting part, but started 2 and some one else finished those and the others.

The countdown is TRULY on till Wicked! 2 months away from today I will be seeing the show in Durham and I can't wait! Well maybe I can wait, becaus I have ZERO clue who I wll be seeing as Elphaba. The lead right now is headed to San Fransisco in June, which means I could see her at the end of her touring days or see the new person take over, who is the current standby in San Fransisco. I really don't care, because both of these women are amazing in this role. Oy!!!

So thats it. I woke up wide-awake at 6:15-6:30 this morning. Ugh! I hate that. At least it wasn't 5:00....

Yes it did snow....

There's one of the pictures from about 3:00 this afternoon. It was coming down in HUGE flakes earlier today. It started at noon and been like the clapper since. hahaha What will tomorrow bring?

I am hoping a certain some one gets their package in the next two days. She should, but anxious to hear back. :D =D

I am so excited about something so stupid!!!

I got a new keyboard to replace the one that had 2 keys that popped out. For like the past 6 months, they had been popping in and out and finally my dad agreed that there was no more fixing! ;) So now I am typing this and having a G and M that work without having to wack them so hard they basically fly off the computer! Yay!

So corny, yes I know. But I am HAPPY!

Snow 2 years in a row in March?!?!?!

< Thats from a year ago today!

Ok how can we hit the jackpot 2 years in a row with SNOW 2 years straight in March?! I AM SO READY FOR SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yahoo!

Will get to the picture explanation. :)

First off my thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the Chile Earthquake/Tsunami that took place today. Its devastating to hear another massive earthquake has hit killing 100's of people so far. =(

Ok, well at the moment I am hopefully seeing Marcie Dodd as Elphaba in Wicked when they come to NC. It was confirmed her contract was extended, but no one knows how long! From what I was told yesterday, it was going to be announced and all that was that Natalie Daradich and Chris Peluso were taking over Glinda and Fiyerio. We shall see. Congrats to Carrie Manolokas for getting standby in San Franscico. She sadly is leaving the 2nd tour after Dayton. =o(

So onto the picture, those are 2 of the many Wizard of Oz ornaments I have. LOL I sent those off to Carrie for her to remember her days on the road. I was going to send my Playbill, but that got feet and walked off on me! :smacks head: So I am anxious to hear back, if I do. ;) Carrie has been so nice to me over the past 3 months since my 1st e-mail and then helping out with the Haiti donation issue. =D I wish her all the best. Hopefully I will get to see her onstage as Elphaba one day soon! =D

So thats it. Off here! Later!
