Yahoo!

Will get to the picture explanation. :)

First off my thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the Chile Earthquake/Tsunami that took place today. Its devastating to hear another massive earthquake has hit killing 100's of people so far. =(

Ok, well at the moment I am hopefully seeing Marcie Dodd as Elphaba in Wicked when they come to NC. It was confirmed her contract was extended, but no one knows how long! From what I was told yesterday, it was going to be announced and all that was that Natalie Daradich and Chris Peluso were taking over Glinda and Fiyerio. We shall see. Congrats to Carrie Manolokas for getting standby in San Franscico. She sadly is leaving the 2nd tour after Dayton. =o(

So onto the picture, those are 2 of the many Wizard of Oz ornaments I have. LOL I sent those off to Carrie for her to remember her days on the road. I was going to send my Playbill, but that got feet and walked off on me! :smacks head: So I am anxious to hear back, if I do. ;) Carrie has been so nice to me over the past 3 months since my 1st e-mail and then helping out with the Haiti donation issue. =D I wish her all the best. Hopefully I will get to see her onstage as Elphaba one day soon! =D

So thats it. Off here! Later!

Ok Who Will Win It Tonight???!!!

Who do you think will win the medals in the ladies competition???!!! I say the Korean girl will win it (forget the name) but I am hoping for Rachael Flatt to move up and Joannie too to win a medal. =D This is the event that everyone looks forward to, and I can't wait to see who wins it. =)

I remember the 1994 Olympics, the first time I really watched them that I can remember. Nancy Kerrigan and Oksana Baiul. Well duh I remember Tanya Harding, but I just remember all 4 events in figure skating, everyone skates and everything. Now I barely watch it. Just watch who I want to. Oy!

So they said we could have 1-2 inches of snow yesterday, AGAIN we had ZIP! Geesh! What a shocker!

Anyone else ready for spring??? :) March is around the corner and my birthday is at the end of March. =D Of course my present isn't until May when I see Wicked in Durham, but my actual birthday is in March. My friend Kate asked me what I wanted to do for it and I was like we are doing something for it when we go to Durham! LOL Its like my birthday will be celebrated 38 days late, thats it. Well worth the wait. ;) I do have my g/c from Christmas to get a massage, so that I will probably will do next month or in April.

At least the sun is PARTLY out today. Its cold, but at least the sun is shining!

Joannie Rochette = Amazing

For those who follow figure skating, by now may have heard about Joannie Rochette's mom passing away on Sunday after a sudden heart attack. Joannie announced that she planned to skate in last night's short program and tomorrow night's long program, even after all of this.

She took the ice last night and nailed her short program. Her mom was truly watching over her last night and her program was for her mom. I was just amazed and so happy for her and how well she performed after all she's been through. She's in 3rd place going into the long program and I wish her all the best. =D

So onto something else that is UP IN THE AIR probably till I actually see Wicked. HaH! Now apparently according to a source Marcie Dodd, who has been the lead Elphaba on the 2nd National tour since last March, is NOT leaving the tour after their run in Dayton. Which has been going back and forth and all-around about who will take over the spot. For me, I don't care, I can't wait to see WHOEVER come May. I was hoping Carrie Manolokas, the current standby, would get the lead after Marcie's departure, but apparently she's the one that will depart and Anne Brummel will take over her spot.

So, that's where that stands right now. So many people I know online that love Marcie will be excited to hear this bit of news. =D I really don't care. I have heard nothing but WONDERFUL things about her and she was amazing in Greenville. And after reading this, I bet some are really wondering if this is how I feel. BUT, the truth is, back in January when I went looking to see who is who on the tour, I fell in love with Carrie Manolokas and was hoping for her in Durham. But time will tell, and I cannot wait to see the show once again with WHOEVER it will be. =D

That's it. I woke up after 5:00 this morning and can't fall asleep again. Oh wellers!

Its Ash Wednesday Already???!!!

< I love this time of the year because THOSE are out in the stores! YUM!!!!!!!!!!

I am HAPPY to say I have read the Twilight series! I finished (finally) Breaking Dawn! =D I enjoyed the series and glad I picked the books up. Now to find something else to read....

So the "headache" of 2 weeks ago is over and I am so sorry to Erin and Carrie for all the 50 billion e-mails and such to fix this whole thing. I am happy its sorted out and you have my donation now. Thanks Wicked 2nd National tour for doing you auction and Erin for continuing to take donations. =D And Carrie also for playing messenger since my e-mails went "missing" between here and Erin's mailbox. :D

So Ash Wednesday is tomorrow and for those who don't know what that is, its the start of Lent and basically 40 days until Easter sunday. So basically no meat Friday's starts tomorrow. Which back in the day we went to eat fish, but we don't have a fish place around here to go to. This also means my favorite Easter candies are out in the store and its hard not to buy them! hahaha Oy! I have no clue what I am giving up for Lent either......

So that's IT for now. Congrats to Shen and Zhao for winning the GOLD last night! =D For ONCE a Russian team wasn't on top or on the podium. ;) NOT that I am saying I don't like to watch the Russian teams, BUT my mind flips back to Salt Lake City 8 years ago and how that who CONTROVERSY took place and how the WRONG team was initially awarded gold.

That's it! TTYL!

The other headach lately....

I just want to rant about this a little bit and hope this isn't seen really by anyone involved. LOL

Back a couple weeks ago I posted about the Wicked 2nd National tour doing an auction for raising $$ for Haiti, well I didn't take part in the donation, BUT wanted to donate separately.

2 weeks now I have apparently been sending an e-mail that never reached Erin. OY! UGH! I was upset 2 weeks ago about the trip to Greenville being cancelled and I happened to e-mail some one else on the tour and had asked about sending a check rather than doing it through paypal. Well that WORKED, BUT still Erin didn't get the e-mails. (I think I have sent 10 e-mails about this one thing)

So yesterday I went back, because I was just about to say FORGET it, and e-mailed this other person again saying I had sent 2 e-mails this week to her and heard nothing back. So I got a direct message on Twitter from Erin and I went to send her a message back and of course it didn't go through, that would be too easy! :smacks head:

So finally I just put it on her twitter page the e-mail address and was like sorry for all of this confusion and such, but I am probably the one you are waiting for and sorry it took 2 weeks!

At the moment I will be THRILLED to get that invoice from Erin so I can stop wondering about my e-mails going through.

Gosh, who knew e-mails could just disappear or never make it.

Snow Storm Feb 2010!!!

A Fun picture :D

So for the second weekend in 3 weeks we had a freak snow storm! No joke! This time this storm brought 3.5-4 inches of snow here there and everywhere. LOL Even the coast got snow, 6 inches down in Myrtle Beach!

Oh the joys of winter in the south.

Helping out Haiti...

This poor country of Haiti needs our help. On January 12, 2010 a devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the small island nation. Upwards of 300,000 people were killed and many more left homeless.

You have seen it on the news the pictures of the devastation and desparation of those who survived.

The Wicked 2nd National Tour decided to raise money for Haiti and raised $275.00 in an auction where the cast signed a poster. One of the performer's with the tour, Erin Wilson, put this together. Some people were not able to do the auction and asked about donating some amount of money. Erin is taking donations over on her blog until Sunday, February 7, 2010 at midnight.

Please check out her Blog and comment an amount to donate to this cause and to help the people of Haiti. If you can't do it now, please somewhere down the road donate to help the Haiti people.

Please visit ..... http://erin-wilson.blogspot.com/ and leave a commment with your amount, name and e-mail address. She states that she will get in touch with you once it ends.

Thanks!
