The things you do to keep busy....

My first blanket I made for Project Linus at home. :) Isn't it cute? ;)

Well I feel sorry for those back home in Ohio at the moment. They are under a foot of snow and more is on the way. Gaia has basically used up all of her snow days and ugh I remember having to make them up cutting into the summer vacation. But I guess in 1st grade you don't really care! But still its days she has to make up! LOL No thanks to Hurricane Ike in the fall and now the snow.

I hate to say it, but I miss the snow we had last week. We finally got rid of it this week, the little that was left in our yard. But still it got really warm here and it was more fun having it on the ground and just looking out and seeing something other than grass, if you know what I mean. But living in the south, it doesn't know how to stick around all that long. ;)

So as you can see I made a blanket for "Project Linus." Kate and I went to a meeting and actually I did a complete blanket on my own while I was there. So that one above was my 2nd one and since then I've made another one to take the next time I go. Hell, its something to do at the moment. If you know what I mean. ;)

So thats all. I am off here, later!

What a great weekend!

There's Miss Sadie out enjoying what's left of the snow from the storm Tuesday. And on the other side of the drive way, there is a bit left STILL! Wowsers!

So this weekend was great. Well especially today. Kate and I travelled up to Durham to go see "Rent." Yes as in the broadway musical. Kate was all excited because two of the guys from the original broadway cast (Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp) were part of the show. I was reading through the program and like any play there were under-studies, and I was like God I really hope these two guys are performing at this show. Kate had gotten to see the show in NYC and so this was her 2nd time and my first time. I had seen only parts of the movie, so this was a treat for me.

So we had to leave here by 10:15 or so, its a 2 hour drive up there. We got there at about 12:00 and parked and such. We got a pretzel to eat and a drink and such. We were let in the theater at 12:30 and then we went back out to get souveniers, cause the lines would've been crazy come intermission and at the end. HAH! So one of my favorite songs is in this musical, but yet I knew very little about the actual show.

I was a bit nervous about if I was going to enjoy it and got into it the first song really. Adam and Anthony are soooooooo cute, Anthony's character Mark (I THINK) is my favorite! We had center seats, literally in the middle of the stage. Kate couldn't hold still to save her life! LOL So the first half was the longest part of the show. But I really liked the music in the first half and I don't think there's an easy way to explain this show without giving it away. The 2nd act, the 1st song they do is my FAVORITE song! (Seasons of Love) The whole cast came out and sang it and was great! They sounded wonderful.

The 2nd half was full of surprises for me. For one thing, having dead center seats isn't always the greatest! LOL During the 2nd act, there's a bright and I mean BRIGHT light that comes dead center off the stage and was right in my face! So of course I was looking away from the light the majority of the time and missed what was going on and the meaning of it! LOL I cried at the end, oh did I ever cry. :'( It was so sad at the end, but I'm not going to say what happened. LOL

It was an awesome day! :o) Tomorrow Kate, her mom and I are going to Greensboro to go shopping. So another early wake-up call tomorrow. ;) Thank you Kate for asking me to come with you! I had an awesome time!

Off to bed....night!

The snow is still around!!!!

Ko-Ko got his package in the mail yesterday and loves it...I mean really loves it! It was hilarious my aunt called today and said he carried it with him everywhere he went yesterday and last night. I thought for sure she would say he bugged the shit out of them squeaking it! LOL :p

So yes the snow is still around here, can you believe that? It was in the upper 40's here today. So its melting, but its nice to see it around longer than a few hours or 24 hours. ;)

So my dad took the van to get it to see how much it would cost for repairs. $850! Yikes! Still waiting to hear about Kate's car, my dad is up my ass about if she has gone and its like I dunno! Ugh! I am about to give him her # and have him call 500 times a day about it and leave me alone!

Marci if you are reading this, then good. Because I dunno why you are snapping left and right at me about stuff that isn't in my control, but you need to STOP IT! I am so glad it was my text and not verbally screaming in my ear. You are not the only one that has problems at the moment and jumping down my back about my opinions that you ask for isn't going to continue anymore. GOT IT? Good!

Sorry, I am off here. That's it! Night!

Oh what a day!

There's the C and mug completed! :) They look completely different from the last pictures I posted and I am happy with them. :) Very happy! :)

Oh get this, the snow at our house is still around after it got up to near 40 today and it was sunny. It looked so beautiful waking up to see it on the ground this morning. :) Its just nice to be able to enjoy the snow while its here, cause 99% of the time its gone on the same day it comes!

So the roads were pretty much ok, minus like the nieghborhood. So Kate and I ventured out and did errands and such. We picked up our creations at Colors N Clay and had lunch and shopped over the little strip-mall we have. Between my mom and my friend Marci texting me, I was about to throw out my window! LOL So my mom asked me to stop and pick up a pizza and invited Kate over for dinner. So that worked out dandy! =)

So flash-forward to after we here for a bit. My mom yelled down to us and said that my dad ran into her car and I was like are you for real?! Well low and behold he did and left a dent in Kate's car and damaged the van. =( Not pretty. =( Poor Kate has had some bad luck with her car lately, but I feel so bad that this was caused by my parents, but my dad is like we'll pay for it to be repaired. Well I hope he pays for it, since he's the idiot that didn't check, but its part my fault for telling Kate it would be ok to park there cause my mom was like no one is going out. Well, one great idea turned into that. :o(

So thats its! Later!

A new president and lots of snow!

Its official, its an official snow day here in NC! :) Depending where you lived here, you either saw nothing or you saw alot, and we are under the alot part of it. I'd say 4-6 inches of it. Its beautiful here and its just great to see it, cause we never see it here! LOL

So 1/20/09 is going down in history in so many ways. Its awesome to have a new president in office and loosing George Bush. (don't get me started) I am glad I wasn't there in DC, they were packed like little sardines around the Capitol. I know one person that was there, and I hope she enjoyed herself. ;) Wish she would've brought the 70 degree weather from California with her, but instead she brought about 7 inches of snow! HAH! :p

So that's it. I am enjoying the snow and going to go enjoy it while it lasts! hahaha

Winter Storm Warning For Seven Lakes!

There's KoKo on Sunday with one of his favorite toys that his sissy got him or his brother. :)

Yes, that title is true. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Moore County, NC aka where I live. We could see 3-5 inches of snow and possibly 6 inches! YAHOO! I just want to see the snow falling during the day, just to enjoy it. I love seeing it fall, that's all I can ask for. Its funny I asked my mom's friend to send some of the snow here and here it comes! Awe! I love the random weather in the south! :o)

So my friend Kate and I had planned to go volunteer at the clothing drive and well by the time we got there, it was 12:30 and they were finishing at 1:00. So we didn't get to do that, so we were going to meet her friend Kevin for lunch. Well we stopped by her old work, where we were going to eat, and on the way out she hit a white post! Ugh! :( It scraped up her car pretty badly and left white paint all down the passenger side. So we went to wal-mart to get goobe gone, well wal-mart before a snowstorm, HAH! Good luck finding a parking spot and not only that the lines are 20 miles long! Days like this they should have like every single line open!

So after poor Kate stood in the parking lot rubbing that stuff on the paint and getting alot off, Kevin came up with the idea of going to his family's car workshop and doing something to it and hell wish he would've said that before. So after having some ice cream we went there and he worked a miracle! :)

So after being out all day, came home to having one of my favorite dinners. :) I am ready to kick back and relax and bring on the snow! :o)

Happy Snow Day! Will post pictures of what we get! :)

A text message woke me up this morning...

I can't wait to see these on Wednesday!!!!! :) There's the C I made for myself and the mug again. :) I think I will put the C in my bathroom, it will go with the decore in there pretty well.

Marci I did get your text this morning. It was my wake-up call this morning. I'm so sorry about your aunt. :( It seems like you have a dark cloud following you around at the moment with bad luck and this wasn't what you needed. I'm here if you need to talk to some one. :hugs:

So that's my post for today. Its raining/sleeting out today. LOVELY! (not) I hate weather that won't make up its mind, seriously! LOL Later!

I survived the 7 degree low last night!

Marci here's a picture of your three favorite animals at my house. ;)

Oh my gosh some one please send in the warmer weather already! It got down to 7 last night here, and yes that is in North Carolina....southern NC I might add. We're like 90 minutes from South Carolina or something like that. At least it was -15 like it was in Columbus. YIKES! I really don't miss the crazy cold temperatures in the North, but yes I do miss the snow! ;)

So thats basically it at the moment. At least it made it out of the 20's here today and was nice and sunny. I do wish it would've snowed. It was a year ago today that we had a bit of snow and it was wonderful! Today's my grandma's 82nd birthday too. Happy Birthday Grams! :D

I'm off here. See ya all later!

Brrrrrrrrrrr its getting cold outside!

There's my latest pottery trip picture. The mug I made, there's a long ass story to it and I'd rather not explain it until I give it to the person its going to. I can't wait to see it finished next week! The butterflies will be on each side of the mug. The hand will be same color as the butterfly wings. And yes I painted clouds on there. I am amazed at how well I did with it. I also made a C, but I can't get the pictures to download off my phone, so when it happens I will post that picture, but you can see part of it in the background there.

Ok did I say that its getting cold outside?! ITS GETTING THERE! Well its not AS COLD as it was when I was in Ohio at Christmas, but still its cold for the south. LOL The high's are going to be in the 20 and 30's the next few days here, is that not crazy?! Well no its not, because we had snow this week a year ago. Actually the 17th was the "big" snowfall we had, I remember that because it was my grandma's birthday. =o) I hope we get some of that white stuff this year, but we shall see.

So yesterday Kate and I headed to Colors N Clay to use our gift certificate there, but apparently she didn't want to go and after she said that I felt bad for like forcing the idea on her. :( Oh well, I think she had a good time, I know I did. I am not 100% sure there. So after that we went into Petsmart and I got Sadie a little snowman that was 99 cents and then Ko-Ko a little baby blanket that has a froggie on it. Its so cute! :) We went to Panera also in there, I wasn't too hungry, but I enjoyed the cinnamon roll I had there. So after that we went back to Kate's parents, after I picked up dessert and then we went to see what the Shag was all about and left after a few minutes cause it was basically couples and no one really came up to us.

So all night I was up and down and feel like crap at the moment. :( Shoot me. :( I am off here. Later!

Hellooooo

There's a blast from the past. K0-Ko when he was just a few weeks old. Man do I miss him being this side! ;)

Oh my what a weekend! I swear right now is the worst time not to have a steady job and finding a job is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Putting in applications is all I can do right now and work my other job when I am needed. But its not much, but hell its the pits. :( I hope and pray it happens sooner rather than later so I can have some money coming in and such.

I was at Kate's house like most of Saturday. They had a brunch with the neighbors around where they live and invited me to come. Kate and I went out afterwards and we went to Goody's and its going out of business! I was in shock over that. I knew they were closing some of the stores, but our little town has NOTHING and I found stuff at this store. :( Oh well there are new stores coming in, but still who knows how long they will last. :(

So keeping busy is what needs to happen right now. Kate and I are going to go to like these free classes for yoga and such in February. We've got a trip to Colors N Clay planned at some point, possibly on Wednesday, just depends on whats going on. I am still working-out on the Wii Fit each day and still is a hit and miss there. UGH TO THAT! :(

So that's all that is going on here at the present moment. Just trying to keep busy and doing stuff. Its actually suppose to get COLD here, if you can believe that. Crazy weather we have in North Carolina if you ask me!

Later!

This is for Marci...

There's Crystal, Chocolate and Caroline. ;)

Happy 2009 Everyone!

One of the few moments that Sadie is actually looking at the camera and enjoying her Christmas presents. Ugh I miss her being a puppy! :(

So 2009 is here and everything has been ok, in some ways. I was still getting over the sinus-ear infection that developed in lovely Ohio. So Kate and her family invited me over to spend New Year's there. Well we were going to watch the pine cone being dropped in Southern Pines and we missed it! LOL OOPS! So after that I tried my hardest staying up past midnight. I was sooooooo tired and cold from being outside. My toe went numb, that tell you how cold I got? ;) But yes I made it to after midnight and then some.

I learned very quickly not to shut the door behind me with Violet. (Kate's cat) She stood at my door and meowed until I opened the door and let her in. I mean she went on and on! So she got up and laid on my side and then I kept moving and she got mad and jumped off and left. I went to the bathroom and didn't see her and so I shut the door and went back to sleep. Violet wasn't too happy with me the following morning it seemed. LOL ;)

So my New Year's resolution is to loose this weight and find a steady job. My interview got cancelled for tomorrow, sadly the position was filled and I was out of luck. :( Oh well, I am still at it for a job. LOL I am getting the hang of the Wii Fit. It was funny yesterday I was at the mall and at a game shop and a guy and his daughter were looking for a Nintendo DS and they didn't have them and I was like WOAH! LOL Then the guy behind them was looking for a Wii and I laughed and was like if they don't have DS' they ain't going to have Wii's. LOL

Oh my gosh if anyone reading this is looking for a puppy, there is a very cute Jack Russell Terrier at the 4 Seasons Mall in Greensboro looking for a home! She is ABSOLUTELY adorable and I wish I could've had her, but I have my Sadie. She is brown, with some black and white. She has a black, pink and white nose. Very cute, very dosile and I wish I could've had her. :( She will find a home soon, but I wish this was 7 years ago and us looking for a dog. Cause that would've been mine! :)

Well thats it for now. :) Happy New Year!
