Tornado Party Anyone?!

Last night's story is so long....so this post will be fun to read!

My friend Annie and I decided to hang out just and do stuff together. She came and got me at about 5:15 and we headed over to her place. She moved into a new place and I met her roommate, Jen and one of their other friends, Michelle came over too.

Jen has got the cutest cat alive, his name is Willy Wonka. He's such an attention hog! He will come and put his butt in your face and want you to pet him. He starts purring the second you start. Its so cute! I can't forget Annie's cat, Carma....she's as cute as ever. ;)

So we were sitting out on the back porch talking and there was lightning going through the sky and the wind started to pick up. Its like oh its just going to storm, nothing big. Annie and Jen don't have internet or cable yet, so we were just watching the sky. We were sitting in the living room and talking and all of the sudden the tornado siren went off. It was the first time I had heard the stupid thing in years! It ran its course and went off. Well it was just doing some lightning and thunder you could hear and the wind was starting to pick up. The tornado siren came on again and I went out on the front porch and took video with my camera so people back home and my parents could hear it. Still just a little bit of thunder and lightning and wind, nothing too too bad. So Michelle called her roommate to check on her and see what was going on and she said that a funnel cloud had been sighted just down the street from where we were! That was the end of it, we grabbed the cats and stuff and ran to the basement.

It was midnight and after by this time. I was on the phone calling family and friends that live here and made sure they were aware of what was going on. It quickly passed, the warning, but we stayed in the basement until 1:30 or so just talking. So it started to calm down from the first storm and so we said good night and my friend and I stayed up watching a movie. Halloween to be exact and that in the middle of the night, ugh talk about nightmares! HAH! The storms went on until I fell asleep which was sometime after 4.

So today Annie and I hung out and did stuff together. We were going to the water park today, but decided not to go. My feet are still torn up from Kings Island and I can't take walking on cement. So there's the past 2 days basically. HAH!

Kings Island Trip :o)

Here's the trip report!

My alarm woke me up at 7:00am , I set it and then I guess turned it on. OOPS! I had to make sure my friend was awake by 7:45 and she was. She was on 3 3/4 hours of sleep though. So the 2 hour car ride went pretty fast. I had my video ipod with me and so Gaia watched that most of the way there.

We got there at about 11:00 and parked at the Water Park. They have all day lockers for $13.00 and so we crammed all of our stuff in there and took off for the rides. :o) With having a 6 year old with you, you have to find stuff she can go on and so we began in the kiddy park and rode the Rugrat ride, which is a suspended coaster. She loved it, but I was worried she was going to fall out because she's so tiny! hehehe

Here's what all I went on...

The Beast - The shortest wait of the day! LOL Its the longest wooden coaster in the world, and you go out into like the woods and its just awesome. Its always one you have to go on when you go to Kings Island.

Vortex - My friend and I went on this together when we were younger for our first times and its been tradition for us to do this. There was a rumor going around the ride is sinking and that they are going to tear it down. But its a looping coaster that turns you upside down like 6 times.

Face-Off - Its a ride that you are literally facing off to people its like this ride called Wicked Twister at Cedar Point. Its a long ass wait to get on it, but worth it. :)

Flight of Fear - Ok way back when this ride first opened, it was the jerkiest ride ever evented and people would get off it and not be able to move. I was hesitant about getting on it again, but now they have changed it to where a heavy lap bar holds you in. Its much much much smoother now. Its an indoor coaster that turns you upsdie a few times.

Drop Zone - This ride is just like the Superman ride that cut off that girls feet....but its fun to go on. My friend took some wacky pictures of my bro and I on it.

Delirium - This ride I dunno how to describe it. You swing back and forth and turn in a circle and you go all the way up and you about go over, but you don't. I didn't want to go on it, but glad I did. :)

Son of Beast - NEVER EVER AGAIN! This is still as jerky as it ever was. Without the stupid loop even, I think its worse! UGH!

Those were the big ones that we went on. We did the water park too, and ugh to that tearing up my feet! The first stupid slide I went down the stupid thing you went down on came up and wacked me in the face and I bit my lip! UGH! OUCH! There was another slide that you drop down into in a like funnel and I didn't want to do it, but my friend begged me to go on it. (not the one I was with) So we wound up going on it with 2 other people we met standing in line and one happen to go to the same high school we went to. But with 4 of us, the lifeguard had a tough time pushing us down to where we could start going on our own and put my friend and the other kid in the waterfall and they were freeeeeeeeeezing to death already! HAH! So we got to the bottom and I couldn't get out of the raft. I did what the lifeguard told me to, but it didn't work and I about fell over into the wall! LOL

Anyways there's the report from there. :)

Off to Kings Island!

I just wanted to come on here and congratulate Marci on becoming an IRONWOMAN! YAHOO! Congrats girl! Sorry I didn't talk to you really today...glad you finished! :o)

Also congrats Shawn and Nastia on securing your spots on the Olympic team last night. Gaia thinks Shawn and my friend Terin are pretty gymnast's! LOL Don't ask! No Terin wasn't there, but I showed Elise a video and Gaia saw it too of Terin and thats where it came from. But Gaia was being a ham and showing off her gymnastics skills last night. ;) Also congrats to the men who made the team there too. To the fellow Buckeyes, Morgan, Paul and Raj....GO BUCKS! ;)

Anyways tomorrow is Kings Island...will have full details of that Wednesday.

Here in Ohio!

Isn't she a cutie? That's my niece Gracie!

Well I got to Ohio on Wednesday at about 12:30pm. My dad has a crazy notion that you need to leave so darn early in the morning whenever you travel. We left before 4:00am! I was up at 3:00 and was ready before 3:30 and had my bed made and such. I slept on and off in the car and it seemed like that everytime I would fall asleep, my dad would want me to get him something to eat when he stopped! It got old pretty darn fast.

So when I got here I was dropped off at Chuck-E - Cheeses and saw my aunt (who I am staying with), my grandma and cousins. My one cousin adopted a little girl not long ago and it was my first time meeting her and she's really sweet. So Wednesday was so long and drawn out and tiring! I was proud of myself staying up until 10:30 that night and then sleeping like a baby. HAH!

Thursday didn't do too much. I shopped at Target for like an hour and that I enjoyed alot. :) I love going shopping there. That was pretty much it other than my aunt and I ate at Minelli's pizza that night and that was sooooooo good. :)

Friday we got up and met my other aunt and my cousins at Waffle House for breakfast and then went to the mall. I had to pick my friend up something for her birthday and wound up getting something for her new place that her and her roommate could both use. I found some clothes too, and that was about it. I was suppose to get together with Annie after about noon, but she didn't go to bed until really late the night before and so I didn't hear from her until almost 4:00. It didn't matter, we still kept our original plan of going to the pool.

So Annie and I went uo to our old pool that we went to as kids. This pool has changed so much since the last time I went there. It has its like own mini water park in there. They have an Olympic size swimming pool that has a slide and 2 diving boards. Now they have added on and its got 2 huge water slides, a lazy river and a kiddie pool area with slides and such. So we like hung out on the slides and the lazy river. The slides, one is a body slide and one you go down on a inner tube. There's two funny stories here.

I have always stepped into the inner tube hole and then sat back, well yesterday I did that and about went down the slide head first and without the tube! The lifeguard grabbed both of us, it was funny. She then was like, go in front and then sit back. LOL That worked! But the first time Annie and I went down in a double together, I sat in front and all those tubes have the handles to hang on to and she had it tuned backwards and I didn't have anything to hold onto. So the lifeguard pushed us off and I was like OMG I am going die! LOL It went so fast and then around the final corner I got thrown off the inner tube and fell into the water and some on the slide. I think we were the first to be tipped she was like are you guys ok? LOL I made for a funny moment and everytime we went down in a double after that we flipped off! LOL The other funny thing was my charm getting caught in Annie's bathing suit and it was like LIFEGUARD! HELP! LOL I didn't want to go down and be attached like that cause it would've been a bad outcome! HAH!

Well thats it for now. We go to Kings Island on Tuesday! WooHoo! :)

Explaining This...

Ok, one of my friends asked me what all is going on this summer....so here's the lay-out of it all...

June 18-29th: Ohio Trip

I am going to Ohio for the like first time in 7 or 8 years during the summer. There are some of the best amusement parks in the world up there and my brother, niece, my brother's g/f and my best friend and I are all going to various places. I am hanging out with my family and friends and doing all of the fun stuff too. We're going to the water park by the Columbus Zoo, Kings Island, Cedar Point (not ruled out), Swimming....you name it! :)

July 12-19th: Charlotte Trip

Ok yes I live in North Carolina, and so why am I going to Charlotte?! My aunt and I use to go to Carowinds every summer and the thought came back to mind recently after they put their dog to sleep. I love going to Carowinds and we haven't done this in probably 5 or 6 years and its a special thing we have done since I was a kid.

July 28th-Aug 3rd: Gaia's Visit

My adorable 6 year old niece is making her yearly trip down here for a visit. Basically we will be at the pool! HAH! She loves going to swim and loves going to our neighborhood pool. :o) hehehe

Aug 14th-19th: Myrtle Beach Trip

Pretty self explanatory about that! We are going to the beach! Something that is starting to become an annual event in our family like it use to be. :o) Who knows what all we are doing there, but yeah fun times ahead!

Ok there ya go! :) I leave on Wednesday for Ohio and won't be back until the 29th.

:) Hello :)

Isn't he cute?! That's Brennan, my nephew that was born in February. I finally got some updated pictures of him and Colin from my friend Amanda. I had to share that one, he's so darn cute!

Can I say, one word of advice, well maybe not a big word of it, but hah never do dead man's float when a lifeguard is on duty! HAH! (I'm sure she doesn't think its funny) But I was seeing how long I could hold my breath and it turned into dead man's no matter how I really did it, LOL. I did it before this incident, and my friend knew what I was doing after I had done it and she freaked first. Well it was just her and I in the diving end and I was doing that same thing again. Well, it didn't go off as planned. LOL I heard the lifeguard say my name and then the next thing I heard was a splash and some one poking me and knocking me over onto my back. It wasn't the lifeguard, but my friend doing that! I was like woah what the heck?! Well lets just say, I'm never doing that again! HAH! OOPS! That is the short version of that whole story, I won't go into full detail! hehe

Well thats about it. We're going tomorrow to Gastonia to go to breakfast with the family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin), but I am not sure I am going to go at the moment. I don't think its worth the day trip to go just for that, but we shall see.

I leave Wednesday for Ohio! Oh my gosh! I found my keychain pictures from the last time I went to Cedar Point, it makes me want to go there so badly! :( I dunno if we are, we are going for sure to Kings Island and the Water Park in Columbus. I can't wait to go to one of those places, hah! We shall see there!

Anyways, I am off here. Night! Happy Father's Day!

What is up with....

What is up with the fricken thunderstorms? Seriously, the 2 days this week we have had them, they have been never ending! It has thundered here since 4:00 this afternoon! It is getting annoying! Its like what happened to those quick dodge them showers and storms you get during the summer? UGH!!!!!!!!!

I dunno about the weather, but my allergies have been really bad this last week. We have had like century mark temperatures and this is usually when the chlorine at the pool bothers me more and more, and its living up to that. Sneezing forever at night and not being able to breathe at night at all! UGH!

This time next week, I will be spending my first night of 10 in Ohio! YAHOO! We have so much crap planned in a spand of 3 days the following week. Gaia asked if I could spend 1 million days up there, and I was like no, but less than a month after I leave you will be down here swimming at the pool! I talked to Annie tonight and she was like lets do the water park one day and Kings Island 2 days after. :) YAY! I cannot wait to go! I haven't been to either of these places since we moved from Ohio basically. :( HAH! Tells you the last time I was up there during the summer. I wish we were going to Cedar Point, but there's not enough time and Gaia won't have as much fun there because she'll still be too short for the big rides. Its a place to take some one when they can go on everything.

I tell you what is hilarious about the pool this summer, is kids asking me how you do a front flip off the diving board. I am sitting here, can you do it on a trampoline and most of the time the answer is no! Its like then I don't know what to tell you there. LOL I don't know how to explain how to do flip! I am telling them the samething I was told, but I can do one on a trampoline and that probably makes a huge difference. I have managed to teach some one a back dive, that's about it. LOL That is easier than a front flip! HAH! My back flip, hah thats another story. Just thinking about it makes my legs hurt. The theory of if you can do a back dive you can do a flip....yeah right! I hear one more time I have done it (like 3/10 times) in the past, its like I will scream! Seriously! 30% of the time is far from passing, if you ask me! ;)

Well I am off here. I am listening to my ipod and heading to bed. :)

I HAVE MY FIRST TOMATO!

Look Look Look!

There's the first tomato on my plant! YAY! I have like 10 other blooms on there with the flowers, but thats the first one to come out! YAY! So excited to be growing tomatos. We usually have problems with deer and other animals getting them, but hopefully this one will thrive and nothing will happen to it. Its a cherry tomato plant, but I am so excited to have one on there now. YAY!

Holy Moly!

There's a picture of my aunt laying the stone out in the yard. :)

I just had to post that it rained tonight! YAHOO! What a nice change. :) HAH!

What a weekend!

Well my grandparents (mom's parents) have gotten to see all of their grandchildren graduate from high school as of yesterday! My youngest cousin, Cameron, graduated from high school yesterday. All though he's a big pain in the butt, I am very proud of him. :)

So a few days ago, my mom had mentioned that she may go over for the party and it all came to head after my dad mailed his card and didn't get a stamp for it. HAH! So I was like, I'll go with you. My dad was taking my grandma back to Ohio yesterday. So we got in the car and headed over. Lets just say our whole family was shocked that we came and we were the unexpected guests. So it was fun. :)

After the party, we took my grandparents home and then went over to my aunt and uncle's to get a picture of the tree that they planted in memory of BJ. We found this little plaque for them to put out in front of it and has a picture of BJ from Christmas sitting under the Christmas tree. So as you can see from the picture that's the tree and you can see the plaque. It says "Our Beloved Pet" and some of his ashes are buried under there also. So she still had Sadie's piece of the birthday cake and then gave me some ashes to burry in our back yard. I got some flowers and planted them outside my bedroom window where he slept when he was here last summer and buried the ashes in there too. Yes it is crazy, but you know that dog meant so much to me, and their next dog will be just as special also.

UGH! The heat is hanging on here. It's NUTS! Its been at or above 100 forever it seems. :( I am ready for some rain to cool it off and such. HAH! We need a good down pour some time this week.

Well I leave for Ohio a week from Wednesday and will be gone 11 full days! I know you are going to miss me, right?! :o)

Well I am off here....have a good week!

OMG! ITS FRICKEN HOT OUTSIDE!

Holy moly!

Its like at the century mark here already and its what? June 4th or 5th or something? GEESH! Its not even officially summer yet! Geez, what does that mean for the rest of the summer? I guess we live in Arizona or in the desert or something...hah!

So this month's trip is set in stone for Ohio. I am leaving the 18th and flying back on the 29th. I HATE FLYING....but it beats sitting in a car for 8 hours! HAH! I was looking at the website for prices for a day pass to the old local pool I grew up going to and my friend and I have been talking about spending a day down there like old times. Well for me to go its $12! I would have to spend the day there to get that money's worth out of it! SHEESH! It may be cheaper for us to go to the water park by the zoo or something. LOL But this pool has changed so much since the last time I went. It has 2 olympic size pools and like a bunch of other stuff. :o) But yeah, we are talking about going to the water park by the zoo too. It use to be a Six Flags park, but now its owned by the zoo, which is cool with me. So then my aunt and I are trying to figure out a date for our trip to Carowinds here in NC, but I swear the last time we went I got really sick and it was no fun! So thats a work in progress there. July 16 or 17th are the dates we have come up with, but I don't want to go if its going to be 900 degrees and getting sick!

Anyways, I am off here. I am tired and hot. HAH! TTYL!

Sunday, June 1, 2008

What a weekend!

Isn't he the cutest thing you ever saw? That's who I am calling Milklyway! :o)

Ok this weekend, out of the blue, my dad goes oh by the way we are going to Ohio on June 18th instead of the 20th. I am sitting here like, when were you going to tell me this, like the 17th?! UGH! Oh well its 2 days more up there, but still its getting up at 4:00am to get in a car for 9 hours and then be dead tired the entire rest of the day. I hope my friend is off that day or something so we can hang out and do stuff. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! The only good part is going to Kings Island and Cedar Point. I told one of our lifeguard's at the pool last week that I was going to Cedar Point, and she was like oh you have to go on this ride (Top Thrill Dragster) and I am sitting here like is that the one 430ft off the ground?! Yeah right am I going on that! LOL I probably will go on it, but still ugh I dunno about that one. Gaia is going to have so much fun at both parks! :o) I can't wait until she's tall enough to go on everything at every amusement park.

So this weekend I was at the pool swimming for the most part. Minus today it was storming at like 5:00 and so yeah they closed early, but that was the first time this summer I have been down there and a storm came up! HAH! :) Oh well.

Anyways I am off here. Marci I am glad you got to go to your grandma's grave unveiling and it sounds like you and Julie did something special. ;) TTYL!
